Water overflows the standpipe behind my clothes washer. A lot of older homes will not handle the volume of water that newer automatic clothes washers are capable of pumping out at one time. Sometimes it’s as simple as using a drain snake to clear the line. But it often becomes necessary to use a high-pressure hydro jetting machine to thoroughly clean the line and restore it to its full diameter. And in some homes the original standpipe was plumbed in 1 ½ inch pipe instead of 2-inch pipe. If that’s the case then it may be necessary to re-pipe the washer drain with larger pipe. What ever the cause you can rest assured your Ben Franklin Plumbers have the expertise and the training to properly diagnose and remedy the situation.
