Tub and Shower drains slowly

My tub & shower drains slowly or not at all. The most common cause of slow draining bathtubs and showers is hair. Occasionally passing a scrub brush across the top of the drain strainer can catch some of the hair before it makes its way into the p-trap. There are some inexpensive products commonly called zippers that can reach down about 12 inches and pull the hair out. But once it makes its way past the trap (typically about 18 inches below the floor) more sophisticated equipment such as an electric snake may be necessary.
