My outside water spigot leaks
My outside water spigot leaks. Most homes in Central Texas have nothing more than what’s commonly called a boiler drain for an out side water faucet. These typically have ½ inch male of female pipe threads and are relatively easy to change provided there is enough room to get a back up wrench on the pipe adapter located behind the valve. However we often get the call where someone has attempted to change out the spigot and twisted the copper pipe off in the wall making what seemed to be a simple repair into a major undertaking. If you have never done this before don’t attempted it just because it looks easy. Call us, our Ben Franklin Plumbers will gladly show you how to safely replace the hose bib with out damaging the pipe then next time it needs to be changed you can consider doing it yourself.
